Maschinenbau KOLK GmbH was founded in 1952 as a specialized company to supply equipment into local coal mining market. In the past 10 years Kolk has teamed up with Tentec Limited in the UK and has expanded its product range offering hydraulic tensioning solutions for various markets, which include the mining industry.
In 1992 KOLK acquired a division of Salzgitter to increase their market share to cover cutters and drillheads for tunneling and civil engineering sector.
In 2000 KOLK also expanded further to increase their portfolio into the coil-processing-lines and coil-conversion-systems business.
Kolk’s head office is based in Recklinghausen, Germany with over 110 employees with a vast experience and knowledge in all engineering areas and has a reputation which is known throughout Germany and across the world.
